It’s hard to feel comfortable nakey. It’s hard to fit well in your clothes. It’s hard to feel confident in your body. It’s hard to start a new fitness or nutrition plan. It’s hard to have anxiety and higher stress levels. It’s hard to not ever want to put a swimsuit on OR shorts. It’s hard when your kids see you looking disgusted when you look in the mirror or at the scale. It’s hard to be locked into an unhealthy lifestyle with no end in sight. It’s hard to have the fear of worse PCOS, high cholesterol, brain fog and the possibility of diabetes. It’s hard to think about not being healthy and active for your kids and future grandkids. It’s hard to jump to the next plan when you “think” your current plan isn’t working fast enough.
It’s also hard to stick to a plan. It’s hard to trust the process when you don’t see the end results you want. It’s hard to stay consistent. It’s hard to not overindulge. It’s hard to check in with your team or coach after you’ve failed. It’s hard to set your alarm. It’s hard to push past in the moment for that one extra rep when your body wants to give up. It’s hard to keep a positive mindset when all you feel is failure. It’s hard to stay consistent with your daily nutrition and stay true to what you promised yourself.

I pick my hard everyday. I strive for more and try to think long term! Our kids are watching and learning so we must set the legacy of health for them! Superfood Dessert Bites
So, it’s in the evening, and you’ve already eaten dinner… You had a super busy day, finally got the kids to bed, just did the laundry, still doing laundry, with a hamper full of even more laundry. You need to go to sleep, but that ain’t going to happen, cause mama’s got a sweet tooth and needs something now. You get into the kitchen, notice you need to do the rest of the dishes….. so what do you do?!!
A. Go crazy on chocolate chips, your kid’s snacks, or a multitude of other things you could eat.
B. Wine…..the entire bottle!!!
C. Superfood Dessert Bites!!!!!!! 🙂
Superfood Dessert Bites Recipe
This is about as easy as it gets. (*Note, I am showing the recipe to fill an entire tin of mini cupcakes. I fill each tin slot about half full.)
- Chocolate Vegan Shakeology Scoop (3)
- Melted 1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil (3)
- Organic Peanut Butter Creamy (as much as you’d like to place on top. I do about 1/2 a teaspoon per bite.)
- Freeze for approximately 20 minutes or until hard.
- Add peanut butter and then leave in freezer.
- Remove from freezer when going crazy! Eat one or two and you will feel 1 million times better and not eat a bunch of junk!! 😉
About to freeze these babies for 20 minutes and then add peanut butter on top to freeze again.
These little superfood dessert bites are about as good as it gets to curb the sweet tooth craziness. I really try to go to these before anything else and they can be a lifesaver. Sometimes I will add a little bit of organic cacao powder into the mix. This gives it a little more of a natural chocolate flavor, which I love. The bonus, my family loves them! They count for a couple teaspoons on our 21 day meal plan. 3 words..#boom #shaka #laka✌?️ -

The definition of SHINE:

emit light, beam, radiate, gleam, glow, glint, glimmer, sparkle, twinkle, glitter, glisten, shimmer….When I first started my journey, I knew I would need a word to represent my intentions and my team. After a few months of pondering, it finally hit me early one morning. Shine, yes! The perfect word to explain how this new healthy lifestyle felt. For too long I was lost in the darkness with my health and it felt, well, hopeless. Now that I have the answer and keep pushing for and creating those daily priorities of healthy habits, I feel lighter and brighter.
I believe when you first take care of your spiritual and physical health, everything else is better. It is one of the most important things you can do for yourself AND your loved ones. As mom’s, we can forget to do this so that’s why I’m SO darn passionate about helping other women find their fitness!!

Weighted Sumo Squats for the Win!
Day 8 // Done. Weighted Sumo Squats. Love the feeling of this move because of the turned-out-toe position. Talk about an inner thigh reconstructor! Operation Get Fit is more of a: Get my booty off the back of my thighs! ? 21 Day Fix Extreme is no joke!
Working our legs burns a ton of calories because they are such large muscles. Just don’t mind me if you see me hobbling around town..they don’t call it an Extreme workout for nothing !

I’m feeling good but still not exactly where I thought I’d be on day 8. You know that feeling of progress that feels so good? Yeah, well I’m still in the “feeling completely out of shape” stage! The cool thing is, I’ve been here before. I know that if I just fall in love with the process, my results will come. Cheers to all us girls that push past our limits and keep our eyes on the prize!

Finding Your Tribe
There is no better compliment than from a friend….and even more so from one you have never met in person. We finally did get to meet. See, Beachbody has allowed me to meet some of the most incredible people. Not just because they are awesome, but because they get me. They understand me, they are like me. I don’t just do all this social media stuff for nothing. I want to find my tribe. I want to find the women that God destined me to be with….and I am constantly looking for them. Fortunately it goes both ways.
In this instance, now one of my best friends….found me!! Yep, she found me through my wonderful little YouTube Turbofire Transformation Video! Tabitha Thiessen is my jam, she is part of my tribe! She gets me, and I get her. We march to the same beat of the drum. It has been amazing getting to know her, watch her work and start her own process of being a girlboss! She is one by the way. She has her own team, but that will never get in the way of her and I. I am excited to see where it all goes as we grow and become stronger friends.
This is what it is all about. Finding our tribe. This is why I love what I do. I never would have found this God send if I had not been working to help people change their lives. When you lead with what you love, the rest falls into place. Has it been easy…no. Has it been fun…absolutely! Have I grown super fast….nope. Has it been rewarding….you better believe it! But, what I am doing, is growing deep. I’m growing relationships, that will last a lifetime. Here is what my beautiful friend Tabitha had to say:

This is what you need to understand. I turned 36 today. I’ve been very comfortable with my beautiful circle of friends and wasn’t really into making new ones. I’m an outgoing introvert and I love my tradition, my routine, my comfort and I wasn’t looking for any changes.
But let me tell ya. We can really rob ourselves of the greatest gifts when we don’t take a risk. Sometimes we DO need to jump and say: “I’m not satisfied, and I KNOW there is MORE out there and it is in MY POWER to do something about it.” And sometimes we need to stop and ask ourselves if we are really living life ABUNDANTLY as Christ promises when we choose to follow Him. We live miles a part, in separate countries. WE both love Jesus, we get our fix from working out and encouraging other women around us with personal development/eating well/being active, we love spray tans, eating food, and drinking wine. She loves make up and I love interior design. We’re the same height and weight. We fan-girl over Chalene Johnson (even though I’ve said her name wrong all these years) and we’re #turbosisters through and through.
And she is MY reminder of all things sweet, genuine, beautiful, peaceful and selfless (she spoiled me today). She is my GIFT from up above and message from My Father that He who started a good work in me WILL complete it. Over the years, my heart has healed from many things. And this woman is my reminder that miracles still happen and there are BIG THINGS to come. Even though I’m 36… And I thought in my little mind that all my dreams would be completed by now, my dreams KEEP BLOOMING!
{And she is DROP.DEAD.GORGEOUS. I actually couldn’t stop staring at her when we finally met in person yesterday. She is BREATHE TAKING, y’all. I actually got a little nervous because she is really THAT gorgeous. It’s like a secret weapon!}

Never in a million years did I ever think I would be a Mompreneur. A mom running my own business from the comfort of my own home, setting my own hours. Eyeliner that is cheap, quick and easy to apply!
I found a fun eyeliner I have to share! L’oreal Voluminous Superstar liquid liner. I love Laura Mercier pencils smudged with dry shadow, too, but this has been my FAST morning secret lately.
I found out about it because I was at Walgreens looking for a liquid foundation I’d been reading about. The girls there said I had to try this and they were right!!! Amazing!

I’ve found W 5 to be just about perfect but could maybe buy W 6 and mix the two. Especially when I have a spray tan. My favorite high end foundation is Makeup Forever HD from Sephora and I just bought their primer, too! The Skin Smoothing formula since I have larger pores. I love me some Laura Mercier foundation primer but just wanted something a tad different for once. -

Transformation Tuesday
What in the heck!!!!!! This Transformation Tuesday is EXTRA special to me because it is my ❤️ main squeeze!
He and I have been trying to figure out this whole “healthy lifestyle” thing for YEARS!!! I must admit, he’s much better at going “all in” with diet and I’m better at going “all in” with fitness. His issue is portion control and mine is saying goodbye to occasional treats. ?
Well, when he got invited to the super exclusive Beachbody Test Group in the beginning of January, it was a bigger blessing than both of us even knew at the time!!! He completed round 2 at the end of May, 2016, and has not only found his steady rhythm on the fitness side, he’s also been as diligent as I’ve seen anyone be with his diet! I’m in AWE of the control he’s had!!!!! The small 40 person online accountability group was his anchor ⚓️ and our food prep each week was his ?edge. He pushed through and stuck to it every single day.
He did have a week off between rounds. Each round of 22 Minute Hard Corps is 8 or 9 weeks, depending if you decide to do Hell Week. Transformation Tuesday is all about people being consistent and my hubby really fits the bill.
We’ve both found our SWEET SPOT in all of this because of Beachbody. It’s nutrition (daily superfoods) + fitness + support = SUCCESS —>Sounds cheesy but it stinking works!!! No more guessing games and fad diets for us! Praise JESUS 😉 We truly have found our placement and what is really
