How Does Botox Work? Why I Got Botox And Why It Works!
Hi my name is Stacy and I am 40! Which means that Botox is my new best friend. So is Dr. Bryan McIntosh, (@drbryanmcintosh on Instagram), as you can tell from the video! I wanted to make this for you so you can watch Botox in action. The needle is scary but it doesn’t hurt much at all.
I had my first Botox experience when I was 36 and I didn’t notice a huge difference but it did feel good to know that I was doing a little age prevention. I did it again when I was 38 and currently I have been going in every 4 to 5 months keep everything fresh and in place.
Here’s my honest thoughts about it, I love the way it makes me feel like I’ve been getting really good sleep at night. I like the way it keeps my eyes from looking really tired and saggy and I also like that I know I’m preventing deeper wrinkles from forming by keeping those muscles from moving so much.
Every time I leave the doctors office I get a new lease on life. Almost that same feeling like you’ve gone to the mall and spent $500 on new clothes. It gives me that same high if you well. Retail therapy and Botox therapy, it feels the same.

Transform :20 Week 5 Review! Shaun T Weight Loss Transformation!
Week five has been a great week. I’m loving it how much more coordinated I feel on the step and my energy levels are UP!
This week I played around with different types of vegetables, I did red onions zucchini and snap peas in the cast-iron skillet and it tasted amazing. I added the red onions first with a little olive oil and let those get nice and soft, then I add the zucchini for a little bit and at the very last five minutes I add the snap peas with salt and pepper. It all tastes so good I barely need a balsamic glaze even though sometimes I still add it because it is yummy.

I can tell I look leaner in my videos my “middle jiggle” is less jiggly and my legs feel really toned. The scale hasn’t changed much but I will take after pictures and measurements when I’m done and see how that looks.
There’s the weekly reality TV video that plays after every Saturday work out and this week had me in tears. In week six we do a work out completely silent no music and Shawn isn’t talking he only cues us for the next move and his reflection on that workout brought him to tears and the entire crew.
Shaun walked through a lot of abuse from his childhood and the silence reminded him of the places he would go as a kid. Hiding in his closet scared. It was really moving that he was so candid and open with everyone in regards to that. I love his heart!
The trainers and these programs are so much more than just a work out and eating clean, there’s so much thought, care and love involved in the entire process and that’s why it works so well for so many. It’s addictive and it’s inspiring and it something that I won’t ever stop- I love it so much.

A Mom’s Letter to Herself!
Our team had a call last week where we shared how different all our lives would be if we had NOT come across the beautiful healing of this health and fitness journey we are all on. If we had not found this business venture that is so very rewarding. It was a very tearful experience for all of us as we all shared WHY we had so badly needed a change and how much we appreciate what we have found. Here was our assignment. A letter to me, my why.
It’s 2012, you are pregnant with your second child and so very tired. You feel bloated ALL the time. You’ve yet to learn that gluten destroys your stomach and makes you lethargic. It’s the main culprit for your stomach pain. You still enjoy Taco Bell about once a week but you know how much you want to break up with fast food all together.
You wonder if you’ll ever find the willpower you so badly want. The thought of having two small kiddos to take care of scares you every time it enters your mind. You not only want to have enough energy to play and be present for them but there is this nagging feeling you keep having. This feeling comes up inside of you often because you’ve been shown your entire life, that having children is overwhelming. That they will ruin your body and you’ll never feel or look the same again.
You wonder if that’s really true. The fear of letting yourself go and giving into the “mom jeans” and extra weight that a busy life brings, is not what you truly want. You see others having success but it’s always been so hard to maintain balance for yourself, how will that ever happen now? Things never seem to come easy for you.
You also have an extremely large fear of your family (children) not respecting you. You know that it stems from that fact that you don’t respect yourself. You need a change. Something new to help you find your calling. Something that will allow you to add value to the world outside of being a mom and wife. Little did you know it was coming sooner than you expected….
There was a NEED a deep yearning for more. Working long days at the spa would cause back pain and carpal tunnel, so you knew esthetics would only be a small piece of your future. But you wanted more than that. Diapers and play dates were not the only thing you saw yourself doing day in and day out. You LOVE working and providing for your family.
It keeps you sane and out of trouble (online shopping trouble). Little did you know, that the company and products that helped your husband lose 65 pounds in seven months, while you were pregnant, is going to become the avenue that God would use to fill this NEED in you.
Three months after Jude comes into this world, you start with your own health and fitness. You know that learning to manage your time and personal goals will set you up for success later. You fight systems and always want to “do your own thing” but this time around, you don’t have that luxury. You must stick to this plan. It’s your only hope.
You are convinced that you can get your body in shape after this tough pregnancy. You give up gluten after much procrastination and can’t believe the weight that’s been lifted. Enjoying veggies more and saying goodbye to fast food is next on the list. After months of tears, planning, craziness and pain….you feel transformed. You feel new, stronger and more fit than you ever remember feeling. It’s amazing!!!!!!
This health journey you’ve embarked upon also came with a business journey. You hesitate because you’re not a “salesperson” and would hate to push anything on anyone. The thing you do know, is when you took those “before” pictures, you pushed for good “after” pictures because maybe, just maybe…you could help another mom see the light like you have. You could help her gain the traction and freedom she never thought was possible. You’ve always had negative perceptions toward this type of business though and you swore up-and-down that you would never get involved with anything like it.
After a year of seeing your anxiety lessen, your moods became more positive, your marriage healthier, you knew that there’s more to this than you realize. You realize that the mom who needs to find what you have found is always in the back of your mind. It has been the whole time.
You know if you don’t share your journey, she’ll never be able to see herself IN it and make the changes she needs to make for her family. You want so bad for her to experience the positive powers of a truly healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The moment you hear God speak to you (you remember the exact location you were standing in your kitchen), you choose to listen and obey Him. This unorthodox type of business has penetrated your heart. You are finally open to it!
The second decision you make is to not care about what people think. You are no fitness expert so how dare you post on fitness moves and tips? There were more than a handful of people who knew ten times more than you about nutrition. Who are you to post and share these things? You had to NOT care. You had to share what you were learning and what you knew, authentically.
You could add value to someone’s life, right? The walls continued to be broken down so that people’s judgements and concerns over what you were doing, didn’t trap or entangle you. You had to finally come to terms with the fact that it was okay to be unapologetically you. You knew where you were going and they could either come with you or watch you.
The third decision you make, is to just start taking action, start sharing your journey and never ever ever look back. Know your why. The beauty of this business will not only continue to help you with all of the things you need for your physical and mental health, but God’s going to use it to create the leader that He made you to be.
He’s going to use it to heal you and to show you His love. He’s going to use that to provide income for your family (especially during that time you didn’t know you were going to need it so bad). He’s going to use it so that you can see you have WORTH, VALUE and RESPECT for yourself and others will too. You can’t hide anymore, you can’t stay in your safe bubble of complacency and mediocrity. The time has come for you to move forward and pursue the dreams in your heart. To pursue helping others find their value and health.

The Process of Understanding True Freedom
Freedom? What does that word even mean?
✨Steady Eddie. That’s how I describe my personality. No surprises or risks too often for me, no thanks. With 8 years in Nordstrom cosmetics and 5 years in esthetics, I stick with what I love.
👨👩👧👦Once I became a mom of two, I needed something to let me stay home and be mama but also something that would help me live a healthier (more accountable) lifestyle. Something that wouldn’t make me work harder, longer hours but that would have a positive compounding effect in my life. After I lost 40 lbs of baby weight and bloat, I was still not convinced this coaching opportunity was for me. Why? Because network marketing made me feel icky, like this strange salesperson or something. I had even made Matt pinky swear that we were only signing up for the discount, nothing else. But I was in these private groups of coaches and had access to The National Wakeup Call so of course my curiosity got the best of me. There were so many women who’s confidence and purpose in life had done a 180 degree turn since they started coaching. Everything was more positive!
🙇🏼♀️Mainly what stuck out to my small way of thinking, was the freedom. The freedom with their time and money. Those two didn’t go together in my brain. I mean, we all want a good amount of both, am I right? Not just for selfish reasons but to be able to bless others and not feel tied down to a pay check or debt.
✈️To be able to pick up and go to Disneyland or on a weekend getaway whenever we wanted sounded so cool to me! To experience life through travel and give to my favorite causes sounded incredible.
Consistency Creates Freedom
🗓Now, 3 years later, I can see it happening to me and so many of my friends who took this leap with me. I trusted the process and figured the time was going to pass anyway. I simply share my love for this lifestyle that got me out of my baby blues funk and let me be free from a day job! The only thing I had to gain was freedom and I can say I’ve gained so much more than that! I feel accomplished, more confident, able to push past those old comfort zones. Almost like I’m a different person. God has blessed me with this so how can I not share!???

Glowing Skin is NOT wrinkles, pimples and age spots — we dislike them all!!!
I would know, I used to have horrible skin. Acne and I were close friends much to my dismay.. like the big, cystic and painful acne. I would want to call in sick to work acne. I took all measures growing up trying to ditch it. Two rounds of Accutane, every prescription gel, retinol, and cream possible. Most of it did nothing!!! Glowing skin seemed like a fantasy world I would never be a part of. Talk about a confidence killer!! Don’t even get me started on wrinkles… no bueno!
But over the years, as I’ve followed this path toward a healthier lifestyle, I’ve found solutions to help all my skin problems nearly disappear. I’m a makeup artist and esthetician by trade and still had a hard time troubleshooting my skin. Until I changed my nutrition. You see, our skin is the largest organ we have. If it is having problems, that’s a sign something’s not right on the inside. Now I’ve got beautiful, healthy and glowing skin I can be dang proud of and the best part is that I was able to get here naturally!
I want to share four tips that I’ve followed, that will help you not only start improving the health and look of your skin now, but also how to help undo any damage you’ve done, to return it to that glowing skin we all want.
Tip #1: Say Goodbye to Gluten
This is my number one, absolute must tip to having amazing, glowing skin! Here’s the deal with gluten, not all gluten is made the same. Over the years, it’s been modified to cause more damage then actually add healthy nutrition to our body. Especially in the U.S., today’s gluten is more of a stress inducer for your body. It causes inflammation in most of us and some more sensitive to it than others, but let’s just say I won’t touch the stuff with a ten-foot pole. All those added stressors on our system means wrinkles, acne, brown spots — and let’s be real… nobody wants that.
The stress in your body caused by gluten causes your skin to look dull and aged. Did you know that gluten is possibly linked to psoriasis, patchy skin and eczema? I’m just saying. I went gluten-free 4 years ago and not only does my tummy look less bloated, my skin has never looked better.
Before you start to think you can’t handle one more project to tackle like going gluten-free, let me tell you it’s WAY easier than you may think! There are so many healthy alternatives to gluten products, you just have to know what to look for. You can get all of my tips, tricks, and downloads in this FREE private Facebook Group. Tip #2: Roots and Fruits
Root vegetables and fruits are pretty close to the Fountain of Youth. You should be eating these regularly! Eating root veggies and beautiful fruits, flood the bloodstream with nutrients that your body needs to make glowing skin! Your skin is clearer, the whites of your eyes are brighter, you sleep better — so why wouldn’t you eat them?
I know there are some people out there who say, “Should we really be eating fruits and root vegetables? Those have a lot of sugar in them.” Let’s get real for a second, it’s MUCH better than grabbing a granola bar full of preservatives and sugars. The sugars you’re supposed to avoid are things like high fructose corn syrup and the junk that’s in your processed foods. If you’re eating things like beets, sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, plums, pineapples, you’re doing your body GOOD! Your body and skin will thank you for it by looking beautiful and feeling radiant.
It’s also worth mentioning that your brain runs on pure glucose. If you’re cutting out root vegetables and fruits from your diet, your body is going to feel it.
Tip #3: Watch the Oils
All the nasty oils in everything like Canola Oil, Sunflower Oil, etc., these are all stressors and toxins to your body. Did you know that the stress and toxins produced by oils and gluten actually prevents collagen from developing? No wonder so many people are struggling with getting and maintaining healthy skin! I use organic cold-pressed olive oil in my salad dressings and avocado or coconut oil for heated cooking. You don’t want to over heat olive oil or it turns rancid.
Remember how I mentioned our skin will tell us when something is off? If you’re eating those sugars, processed foods, fast food and cooking with all that oil that turns toxic and rancid, your body will give you signals to let you know something’s not right. We must read labels and educate ourselves to be in our BEST health NOW.
Tip #4: Silky sleep
I’m a side sleeper and my cheeks stay planted against the pillow at night. Fortunately, I’m sleeping on a silk pillowcase. I’ve had it for almost 8 years and it looks brand new and I don’t have to worry about getting those nasty sleep wrinkles. Here’s the thing, if you’re sleeping on cotton sheets or anything other than silk, those are harder surfaces and can create wrinkles if your skin is smudged against the fabric all night. With silk sheets, your skin glides and doesn’t scrunch, so it helps to prevent those wrinkles that give you a forced, aged look. Bonus Tip: Stay hydrated!
Your skin is not going to look good if it’s not hydrated.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth, skip the soda and opt for things like Kombucha, La Croix or Zevia. I also love 1/2 lemon squeezed into an 8 oz glass of water first thing in the morning.
Above all else, remember your body is a miracle!! It knows how to work and it wants to work and function to be vibrant and healthy. You just need to help it get there and stay that way. Stop treating your body like a garbage can, putting junk into it and start treating it like the gift it is. Then you will have that glowing skin you’ve always wanted!!

emit light, beam, radiate, gleam, glow, glint, glimmer, sparkle, twinkle, glitter, glisten, shimmer….
When I first started my journey, I knew I would need a word to represent my intentions and my team. After a few months of pondering, it finally hit me early one morning. Shine, yes! The perfect word to explain how this new healthy lifestyle felt. For too long I was lost in the darkness with my health and it felt, well, hopeless. Now that I have the answer and keep pushing for and creating those daily priorities of healthy habits, I feel lighter and brighter.
I believe when you first take care of your spiritual and physical health, everything else is better. It is one of the most important things you can do for yourself AND your loved ones. As mom’s, we can forget to do this so that’s why I’m SO darn passionate about helping other women find their fitness!!

Something about these words light a fire in me. I was just talking to a new coach on my team yesterday and was reminded of how vital this is. Feeling the fear and doing it anyway. I’m a comfort zone junkie to the MAX! Three years ago, I stood up in church at the end of service as my pastor did an amazing job of stirring passion in my soul with his words. He challenged those of us that needed to let go and trust God’s plan to take a stand (literally) and surrender our fears. I realized I never needed God if I never did anything new and “scary.” That had to stop. I needed to “need” God.
I vowed that day to take every opportunity head on and allow God to work in me as I moved forward in motherhood, business and life in general. I’m grateful to Beachbody for being that outlet to help me do this. I would have never had the full opportunity without this coaching gig.
I still struggle but I am so much braver than I used to be. I’ve learned that action builds confidence. The more we “just do it” (thanks, Nike) the walls of fear that surround us break down and we see how truly capable and fantastic we are! I’m gonna go now and practice what I’m preaching, haha!#feelthefearanddoitanyway

•I Love Food Prep • I Hate Food Prep•
Okay maybe I hate food prep a little more than I want to admit, but it’s so worth having it done. I’m happy when I have fast healthy choices for me and the family.
Here’s what I just did:
✅ Cut and washed the romaine and kale.
✅ Cooked two types of organic sausages.
✅ Prepped the taco meat and used one package ground turkey mixed with one package ground turkey breast.
✅ Baked paleo pumpkin muffins for the kids breakfast and before bed snack if they are begging for more food ? (recipe on my Instagram)
Here’s our menu for the week:
Tuesday: Roasted brussel sprouts and almond flour breaded chicken tenders with Fixate Cookbook, honey mustard dressing dip
Wednesday: Kale salad and sausages
Thursday: Udi’s GF cheese pizza (my late work night) with green beans
Friday: Sweet potato fries and leftovers of their choice. We usually do popcorn for our movie night, too!
