    Transformation Tuesday

    What in the heck!!!!!! This Transformation Tuesday is EXTRA special to me because it is my ❤️ main squeeze!

    He and I have been trying to figure out this whole “healthy lifestyle” thing for YEARS!!! I must admit, he’s much better at going “all in” with diet and I’m better at going “all in” with fitness. His issue is portion control and mine is saying goodbye to occasional treats. ?

    Well, when he got invited to the super exclusive Beachbody Test Group in the beginning of January, it was a bigger blessing than both of us even knew at the time!!! He  completed round 2 at the end of May, 2016, and has not only found his steady rhythm on the fitness side, he’s also been as diligent as I’ve seen anyone be with his diet! I’m in AWE of the control he’s had!!!!! The small 40 person online accountability group was his anchor ⚓️ and our food prep each week was his ?edge.  He pushed through and stuck to it every single day.  

    He did have a week off between rounds.  Each round of 22 Minute Hard Corps is 8 or 9 weeks, depending if you decide to do Hell Week. Transformation Tuesday is all about people being consistent and my hubby really fits the bill.

    We’ve both found our SWEET SPOT in all of this because of Beachbody. It’s nutrition (daily superfoods) + fitness + support = SUCCESS —>Sounds cheesy but it stinking works!!! No more guessing games and fad diets for us! Praise JESUS 😉  We truly have found our placement and what is really 

    His stats are 31 lbs gone and 15.25 inches lost overall for this Transformation Tuesday!! Please comment if you or  your hubby needs to get moving in your journey!!! We all need encouragement to JUST KEEP GOING!!!!  It’s a journey.  It doesn’t happen overnight, but as you can see, if you focus for about 5 months, a lot can change.

    21 Days to transform and make you a New You!!!

    Photobombed by the hubs ?? as I get prepped for the week with our simple containers.  Getting ready for the next 21 Days!

    I love being told how many to eat a day and what foods I get to choose from. ‪#‎mombrain‬ ‪#‎colorcoded‬. I also love the feeling of having energy and being strong ??. Two of the best things ever.  Well, that and being able to walk into your closet and put everything you own on, and it FITS!

    I didn’t always have these feelings though. Just a few years ago, I was lost in what to eat and what workouts worked best for me. Crash diets were my jam. It was a terrible place for me. Since then, I’ve found the “secret” to fit mom SUCCESS and I can’t hide it. The fire in my soul to help other women find what works for them is lit. ? I want you to have everything you’ve wanted with your health and fitness goals and the time is now!! Not in September when the kids go back to school.

    I love the quote, “To have something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.” This relates so perfect to fitness and nutrition for me.

  • Goals Were Never Even A Thought, Now They Are Everything

    The Girl with no Goals

    The girl in the before picture never made goals, felt self-conscience ALL the time, and had no idea how she was going to teach her kids about not giving up-because that’s all she knew how to do. She wasn’t in a place of need or guidance from God because she balanced it all on her own shoulders. She stayed in her comfort zone. Goals weren’t even in her thoughts.  She ate her emotions and hid her true feelings from just about everyone. This was 9 years ago.

    Fast forward 6 years and there was an opportunity placed in front of her. She watched as others shared their stories of where they came from and what they had accomplished. The goals they had made and accomplished.  She wondered, why not me? Why couldn’t she earn extra money and make my own hours, actually make goals and hit them?

    Working at Nordstrom’s left me wanting to not give up the niceties of life. Hello fashion, shoes and cosmetics!! Being able to support the family using the talents God gave me would be a win/win, right? Being healthy in mind, body and spirit for a career seemed pretty legit. To have something that fit in the cracks of my mommy-life and build on itself seemed too good to be true. I didn’t have all the health answers but I knew what was working for me and loved encouraging people. To have something that would teach me to step out, learn to fail and get back up and would continually build my character.  Here’s more of my full story!

    The Girl with Goals…..and Hitting Them!

    Fast forward to present day. I’ve been able to use the gifts God has given me. I actually have made goals and hit them!!  To invite others to join me in having more energy for their families. To stay home with the kiddos and work in my Juicy Couture sweats. To be challenged daily and fight the good fight of life and NEVER give up.

    Maybe you don’t have kids yet but you want to make a career out of something that keeps you accountable to your own health goals? Maybe you’re a mommy but want something on the side for yourself? Or perhaps you want to grow a business at your own pace for when the kiddos are in school full time or off to college? Maybe you want to switch careers to something more meaningful than what you’re currently doing.

    As I look at how much I’ve learned and grown, I can’t keep this to myself. I set goals, hit them and now help others do the same.  Coaching has given this worker-bee girl a sense of pride and purpose. It allows us as a family to give more and be together lots. No more punching time-clocks for me. Only freedom to pay it forward and teach others how to share their stories. Message me to join our group next week to learn more….let’s hit some goals! ??

  • Taco Salad, Keeping it Healthy!

    Taco Salad

    I’m sure we can agree tacos might be our favorite meal! I used to hit up Taco Bell twice a week! In fact, while I was pregnant with my first child, Matt and I had the tough decision of where to eat on break from our birth training class ? Would it be McDonald’s or Taco Bell?  Taco Bell won, but it was a close call.

    We haven’t had fast food since Jude was born 3 1/2 years ago. It was a personal decision to just say goodbye forever and never look back. We feel SO much better! Those gut bombs are not worth it!

    So now, I make a taco salad and pretend it tastes like a double-decker, lol.

    Taco Salad Recipe

    ✔Swap out the tortilla for a bed of lettuce
    ✔Swap the sour cream for high protein Greek yogurt
    ✔Swap the cheese for lots of salsa and jalapeño
    ✔Swap the fatty beef for turkey (I like to mix one pack of ground turkey breast and one pack of regular turkey)
    ✔Swap the MSG filed taco seasonings for you own seasoning blend. Mine is from the 21 Day Fix

    This is a slim tummy recipe as compared to a bloated sad tummy. Tag a friend you wanna eat taco salad with??!!!

  • Protein Pancake Recipe! Gluten-Free of Course!

    Protein Pancake Recipe

    This protein pancake recipe is fantastic.  It is absolutely perfect for a yummy weekend breakfast or perhaps a fun breakfast for dinner idea? A great way to get some protein with your carbs.  These pancakes are packed with protein and will be perfect for getting the kiddos full with a healthy meal!  Matt took the original recipe on the back of the pancake mix package and changed it up.  He said it took him about 10 tries before he finally found the right measurements.  We will have these any time!  When you are gluten-free it is nice having something like this, because literally, they taste better than buttermilk pancakes.  A lot of time they come as gluten-free lunch ideas!  So don’t just think they are a breakfast specialty…they’re not.

    Here’s chef Matt’s signature Protein Pancake Recipe:

    • Heat pan to med-high with 1 Tbsp of avocado oil
    • 1/4- 1/2 cup Pamela’s gluten-free pancake baking mix
    • Match the amount of water to the amount of Pamela’s you used
    • Wisk in 6-8 eggs
    • Add 1-2 Tbsp of avocado oil.

    Makes enough for our family of 4. The kids love them so it fills them up the whole morning. Perfect if you have a busy Saturday!! I love the fluffy egginess (is that a word;)?)  Sometimes a protein pancake recipe comes from just experimenting!

  • 22 Minute Hard Corps – #Getsome

    22 Minute Hard Corps Test Group

    I am so excited that my husband, Matt Rody, was invited into the 22 Minute Hard Corps test group!  He took all his photos, did a fit test to see where he’s at, we did a bunch of meal prep and kicked it off today, January 4th, 2016!  He is committed and seeing his commitment is pushing me!  We are both focused and doing our part to really spread the joy of health with everyone around us!  Here is what he had to say:

    “Well, it’s almost here! I am so incredibly humbled and so honored to be in the official test group for 22 Minute Hard Corps. The people in this group are much more qualified than me, so I will be pushing myself harder than ever before!

    As I move forward on this amazing journey, I would love to bring you along with me. I’ve never been perfect, I’ve never tried to be. But I know I have to work hard to be the best husband, father, friend, son, brother, business partner and whatever other shoes I am called to fill.

    I won’t try to pretend I don’t yo-yo on the scale a bit, but I have found a very sustainable place in my health and nutrition. I always have energy to throw my kids around and chase them for hours. That’s why I did this. That’s why it’s stuck for almost 4 years now.

  • 22 Minute Hard Corps is Coming! New Beachbody Workout!

    22 Minute Hard Corps Test Group!

    Beachbody Corporate has picked about 60 people out of all the coaches in the company to be in a test group for 22 Minute Hard Corps which releases in March of 2016.  It is sort of like their own personal Challenge Group!  Well, I am proud to say that my husband, Matt Rody, was asked to be apart of it!!  Here is my husband announcing that he gets to be in the Test Group:

    “Merry Christmas to me!! ?. Holy moly I can’t believe this just happened! Out of over 400,000 coaches and countless others that do the workouts…..I, me, muah, was somehow selected by Corporate Beachbody to be in a test group. Not just any test group and not with just any workout! We are talking the not yet released 22 Minute Hard Corps, made by Beachbody and the one and only, my favorite instructor ever, Tony Horton!!!!!

    To say I am excited would be the understatement of my life! ?. I am so very humbled, but also giddy with exuberance and ready to share the process starting on January 4th for the next 8 weeks!! It is going to military style…I am nervous!! Well, wish me luck and who knows, maybe I’ll end up on an infomercial!! ?? ‪#‎getsome‬

  • Should I use a credit card? Yikes, they’re scary!!!

    Is it wise to use a credit card? Is there a benefit? Will it get me in debt? Can I use it to my advantage at all? There are a lot of financial gurus that state not to have a credit card. I agree with that mentality if you have a tough time paying that card off monthly. Credit cards usually have higher interest charges and will really kill you financially in a short amount of time. Well shoot, let’s talk about these little plastic cards, that get us into so much trouble!

  • My Transformation with the 21 Day Fix.

    21 Day Fix – A really short journey!!

    It only takes 21 days!!  You have containers to measure your food, workouts that you do daily and all you have to do is some prep and actually workout.  Oh, and the workouts are only 30 minutes long.  It is not hard, it just takes a bit of discipline and it will get you in shape!!

    Ummmmm…….

    I won’t lie….I was skeptical.  Beachbody was using a new trainer, Autumn Calabrese, with a lot of hype saying this really worked.  I had done a cleanse through Beachbody, called The Ultimate Reset back in June of 2012.  I lost some weight during that, but I also lost muscle because I wasn’t working out….it was a cleanse, but it was also 21 days.  But, Stacy, my wife, wanted me to do it.  So what the hey…….I decided to do it!

  • My Journal, the story of my life….

    I began journaling when I was 16 years old.  I was taking a Bible class and my teacher had us start journaling as we were reading the Bible.  Having a journal ever since then has changed my life in understanding myself a lot more.  I enjoy it more than I can tell you.  It is a reminder of where you have been and where you want to go and a way to not forget where you have gone right or gone wrong.
