  • 22 Minute Hard Corps Test Group is Getting Serious!

    22 Minute Hard Corps Update

22 Minute Hard Corps is now into week 4 for my husband Matt!  I am going to have him tell you all about it!

“Wow….all I can say is WOW!!!  22 Minute Hard Corps has to be the best workout program I have ever done.  I have done Body Beast, P90X, Insanity, T25, 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, P90X2 and P90X3.  I have done half of Hammer and Chisel, got interrupted when I was rudely invited to do this test group, by corporate Beachbody!!  So here I am.  Already through an entire three weeks and I cannot believe how much my body has changed!

I am already down 13lbs and down over 7.5 inches…..most of the loss is in my waist and chest…my two hardest areas to tone.  I have never had good definition in my abs and they are on there way to be the best I’ve ever had…..and it’s only been three weeks!!  This is an eight week program!  It is difficult though.  There are awesome modifications, so no worries there, but it is fast pace.  Tony Horton, the man, really takes this workout program to an entirely new level!!  He makes 22 Minute Hard Corps the extreme.  If you are already in shape….this will challenge you.

21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, 21dayfix, 21dayfixextreme, 22 minute hard corps, 22 minute hard corps test group, 22 minute workout, 22minutehardcorps, alcohol, Beachbody, body beast, get some, getsome, gluten-free, Hammer and Chisel, orgain, p90x, p90x2, p90x3, Recharge, sugar, t25, tony horton, Tony Horton 22 minute hard corps, Tony Horton new workout, vega, vegan protein shake

I would say I started this program in decent shape, or so I thought.  As soon as I began, I knew I was going to have to dig deeper than ever before.  I thought I could jump right through 22 minutes!  I mean common….it is only 22 minutes!!  Nope, it is awesome.  Here is a little example of one of the moves.  I could probably do 3 or 4 of these at the beginning, now I can do over 20!!

    [youtube id=”EwhJsE7Aucw”]

This last week, my wife had to go through a 3rd surgery, the 3rd in the last 3 months!  It has been a challenging time.  The thing I always forget is that when you are doing a full body, cardio, circuit style training, you not only gain muscle, but you gain so much energy!  Energy has just gone out the roof.  I have had so much fun playing with my kids at night…we will rough house for up to 3 hours after dinner!  I used to be gassed after an hour!  22 Minute Hard Corps is really changing my life.  I am feeling so amazing!

I also did have a slight setback…but I didn’t let that get in my way.

    22 Minute Hard Corps Nutrition

This is the part that I needed a lot of work on.  Prior to 22 Minute Hard Corps I had been trying to bulk.  At the beginning of 2015 I was doing Body Beast. 21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, 21dayfix, 21dayfixextreme, 22 minute hard corps, 22 minute hard corps test group, 22 minute workout, 22minutehardcorps, alcohol, Beachbody, body beast, get some, getsome, gluten-free, Hammer and Chisel, orgain, p90x, p90x2, p90x3, Recharge, sugar, t25, tony horton, Tony Horton 22 minute hard corps, Tony Horton new workout, vega, vegan protein shake I am a tall 6’7″ man.  Getting meat on my bones has not been easy, getting fat is.  I can gain weight quickly.  I decided to really work on it all of 2015.  I did one full round of Body Beast, then almost all the way through a second round.  After that I began doing a lot of circuit training with heavier weights.  This meant one main thing.  Food and lots of it!  Definitely mostly healthy but definitely not perfect.  I was averaging between 3500-4500 calories a day.

With 22 Minute Hard Corps I have lowered my calorie count to around 2400-2500 per day.  I am having a ratio of 1:1 protein to my weight, higher fat and middle of the road carbohydrates.  I have Shakeology (learn more about it here) once a day, sometimes twice depending on how busy I am.  I really do mix macros and 21 Day Fix food containers.  It is a perfect balance.  The nutrition is so very important to me.  I am having only natural sugars through some fresh fruit and occasional dry fruit.  I am not drinking alcohol right now.  There comes a point when you just want to see what your body is capable of and how it will react.  I am trying to eat six meals a day.  I try to keep my yellow containers to no later than 4:00PM.

This is also the part that I have to have the most discipline with.  Late night snacking has always been an issue for me.  Through this time I will only have Recharge (learn more about it here), an amazing Beachbody supplement or a Vegan protein shake.  I do have whey protein as well, but very minimally.  I use both Vega and Orgain protein powders.  I tend to stay away from animal products because I am having a decent amount of meat.  I always try to have greens with my meat, the fiber will help with digestion.  I also have a staple kale dish I have almost everyday.  I am continually tweaking it.

    22 Minute Hard Corps Continues

I can’t wait for Stacy to join me.  I know she would be doing far better than me at this point.  Her crazy physical craziness, (you can read about it here, and here) have really taken a tole on her and I can’t wait for her to be back at it!  I need my partner keeping me focused!  I have one of the workouts down fully.  I can do every move all the way through and am now cutting out some of the rest times….don’t worry, their not very long!  I still modify pull ups and chin ups, since I still can only do a few.  It is fun to see the progression!  It is amazing to be in a challenge group, where everyone posts and we are all a team, focused on getting results!

21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, 21dayfix, 21dayfixextreme, 22 minute hard corps, 22 minute hard corps test group, 22 minute workout, 22minutehardcorps, alcohol, Beachbody, body beast, get some, getsome, gluten-free, Hammer and Chisel, orgain, p90x, p90x2, p90x3, Recharge, sugar, t25, tony horton, Tony Horton 22 minute hard corps, Tony Horton new workout, vega, vegan protein shake

I am also taking emails!  If you are interested at all in doing 22 Minute Hard Corps, it will be available in March, I would love to get you in a group, so that I can notify you of it’s release as soon as it comes out!  So comment on this post or better yet email us at [email protected] and put in the subject line “GETSOME”!  That is the official hashtag of this program!  Stacy and I look forward to going through this process with you!!

  • A Mom’s Reason For Breast Augmentation.

The Reason For This Mom’s Breast Augmentation

Oh man…..breast augmentation.  This is so exciting for me to sit down and write but very terrifying all at the same time.  I have been waiting a few years now to go through this “mommy makeover” so to speak.  Oh man, oh man, oh man…..breast augmentation.  I have learned, since becoming a health coach 3 years ago, that sharing my struggles, journey and thoughts can help other women feel like they are not alone.  So here I am sharing something super vulnerable and scary but I hope to educate, inspire or whatever else you need from this glimpse into the most recent part of my journey.

A little background on me.  I have a 5 year old girlie girl named Samantha and a 3 year old sweetie pie little man, Jude.  I nursed both kiddos for 2 years each.  Between the 45 lbs I gained with each pregnancy along with the pumping and nursing, let’s just say….the poor chest area was used well.  I went back and forth for a long time trying to decide but as much as I loved the flat chested look, or as I call them “flaps of skin”, I also wanted to be proportioned in a swimsuit and sports bra.  I was concerned on what I would tell my sweet daughter about the surgery but my logical husband reminded me that she is 5.  Only 5!  She will really only remember me this way and I don’t need to explain every detail.  I basically told her that having “mommy milk” took all the fluff out of my chest so I just filled them back up so the skin wouldn’t hang…something like that.  I didn’t even talk about the surgery before it happened and my amazing mom and pop-in-law were so cool to take them for 5 days for us so I could heal.  I believe part of how we approach things is how they are received, so we kept it simple.

Backstory on me, I am that girl that has a 6 pound baby and comes home to weigh myself and I’ve only lost 3 pounds, lol.  Being a PCOS sufferer, it not only took me over a year to get pregnant with Samantha but I do not lose weight easily and I put it on even easier.  After having a transformation with some amazing home workouts and daily nutrition from the company I work with, I lost all my baby weight plus some.  That left me with the below photo of more muscle than breast tissue.

before breast augmentation surgery, breast augmentation, breast implants sizes, how much are breast implants, breast implants, breast lift, breast implant, breast augmentation before and after photos, breast augmentation recovery, cost of breast augmentation, boob job, before and after breast augmentation

The Cost of a Breast Augmentation

I had a close friend that went to a doctor in Bellevue and loved her results and as we researched, we found him to be one of the best in the Washington State for breast augmentation.  This is how we made a decision to use him.  We scheduled our consultation, paid the $75 for that appointment and decided that day to pay the $500 deposit and schedule.  Total cost for everything was almost $11k but we got Care Credit, zero interest, for 12 months.  This included the breast augmentation and a lift.  A reminder….4 years of nursing creates the need for a lift…there was definitely a lot of excess skin!  My finance major of a husband is on the payments quick so we pay nothing extra 🙂

We ended up having to extend it a year from a car accident in 2014, but was finally able to schedule again and get in.  It takes anywhere from 3-12 months to feel “normal” again after breast augmentation so we knew having it done in November was the perfect timing.  I took the nurse and doctor’s opinion on size.  That was scary for me because they don’t tell you what cup size you will be.  In fact, you can’t really buy a fancy bra for 6 months until everything settles.  I could tell they were confident about their opinion and I OVERLY shared my fear over being too large, lol.   Nothing would be worse to me!!  I brought 5 shirts to try on with the implant insert in my bra.  I wanted to be sure all my shirts would still fit.  I was fearful of not looking or feeling like “me”.  I did not want them to make me look “heavy.”As my hubby and I discussed size options and tried on different sizes of inserts, I really took my time to process it all.  Picture us in the room full of mirrors and silicone balls being pondered over.

They recommended 450cc but none of my friends had more than 350cc put in.  This tip might really help you because it finally gave me the peace I needed with it all.  I tried a 400cc on one side and the 450cc on the other in a workout tank.  The smaller insert looked more fake because it appeared to look like a ball on my chest, when the larger one looked like it fit my frame and shoulders better ( I was a swimmer in High School so they are built from that).  The decision had been made on the 450cc!!!  They actually said I should do 475 because the extra 25cc was only equivalent to 1 Tbsp of water and as they settled they would look like a solid 450.  The doctor didn’t give me a choice on shape, nor did they offer both saline and silicone.  He strictly does silicone and designs them per woman.  I also didn’t want a huge gap in between where my cleavage was but that we really don’t have control over this.  The cleavage is what it was before, regardless of breast size.  I was a bit scared about the lift, but he didn’t remove the nipples like I was scared of and only cut the extra skin off around them.  He did a crescent shaped incision under the breasts which won’t be noticeable at all.  Okay, that part was done!!

    Breast Augmentation Surgery…..the Real Thing!

Now, let’s talk the surgery!  The day before, make sure to be well hydrated.  You can’t drink anything after midnight so the cotton mouth feel was the worst. I would have drunk up until the cutoff of 11 p.m., if I had to do it over again.  The surgery recovery process hurt worse than I thought it would.  Let me just saw that now!  I had both babies naturally at a Birthing Inn so here I was thinking I was tough stuff.  Everyone handles surgery different and apparently I don’t’ do well.  Those tiny child ice packs fit perfectly into your bra, by-the-way, they have been a lifesaver.  What happens with the pain is, the muscle gets mad since they are trying to make room for the implant to go under them.  I didn’t get any bruising after the surgery but let’s just say, I could not sit up on my own for almost two days.  It was crazy!!  Make sure you send the kiddos away for 2-3 days since you are moving hardly at all for the first 3 days.  I did leave the house on day 4, but I was high on vicodin and valium and a bestie drove us for pedicures and a Sephora stop.  I probably should have stayed home but it was fun to get out!  Here’s my before and after, the after is one month from the time of the breast augmentation surgery.breast augmentation, breast implants sizes, how much are breast implants, breast implants, breast lift, breast implant, breast augmentation before and after photos, breast augmentation recovery, cost of breast augmentation, boob job, before and after breast augmentation

The Complications of the Breast Augmentation

Almost a week after surgery, I came down with a fever.  101 temp!  I called my doctor’s cell and he was already in New York for Thanksgiving Holiday.  He asked me if one side hurt more than the other but I was so achy I could barely tell it was the right side that hurt.  He called in a prescription luckily right before the pharmacy closed.  I was so SICK!  I went straight to bed after taking my antibiotics and we had to go see the on-call doc in Seattle the next day.  When I sat up that morning to go to the bathroom a runny, yellow-reddish fluid dripped all down my right side.  The infection was bad.  The on-call doc wanted to admit me to the hospital for IV antibiotics but we were not excited about that.  Not only would it cost us crazy amounts of money, I did not want to be in the hospital over Thanksgiving.  I hate hospitals, hence the Birthing Inn.  I digress.

I did end up staying home on Thanksgiving (and missing the fun) but we knew healing was more important than anything.  My husband was a saint.  Taking care of me like it was a full time job.  Feeding me his famous egg and kale dish, peanut butter and raspberry jam toast and Shakeology.  Thank God for Shakeology.  He had me sleep as much as possible and changed my gauze every few hours.  I teased him about being Kathy Bates in the movie, “Misery”.  He urged me to stay in bed for almost two days straight because I don’t like to rest.  What mom is used to resting anyways, right?  It was tough but I needed to do it.  If the infection did not heal, I would have to lose my right implant for up to 3 months before they could put it back in.  Can we talk about what was going through my brain when I heard that fun fact.  A cruise with my Beachbody family in 3 ½ months fully earned, paid for and reserved and I could be having another breast augmentation surgery a week before we left?  Um, NO!!!!  Talk about nerve racking, TEARS and lots of prayers.  Made me so grateful for my health and so much compassion for any woman that has had cancer!  Oh my heart.

So, I ate no sugar or anything bad that whole time.  I did not want my body fighting bad food as well as the infection, etc.  Knowing what I know about nutrition was a huge help.  As soon as my doctor was back in town we went to see him.  He got me in two days later to re-open the incision and clean out the breast as he soaked the implant to put it back in.  Good news was, everything was very mild and it looked like I would heal up well.  The second time around I was more nervous going into the operating room but trusted God, that He had it all under control.  Going under anesthesia is never fun and trying to put on compression socks with no chest strength is nearly impossible!

During this time, we grew even more grateful for our health and fitness business. Matt was driving me an hour to and from the doctor more times than we really wanted to count.  I was able to work from my bed and keep up with my clients and coaching team.  Our income didn’t go down, it actually went up because Beachbody had just released a new fitness program and they do a ton of marketing along with us coaches doing our own.  Even though I was out for about 6 weeks, in and out, we had the best month we ever had.  I don’t know of any job that we would have been able to say that with.  A true blessing and confirmation that being Beachbody coaches is God’s perfect plan for our family.

I healed much faster after the second surgery and felt like the worst was over!  Thank Jesus!!!!  Had so many beautiful friends praying for me and faith that He was teaching Matt and I new things.

    Fitness After my Breast Augmentation

Now, let’s talk fitness!  You might think after surgery, “oh, I’ll do some yoga.” but can you imagine a Chaturanga?  Ya, NO!  I was pushing it really hard with Body Beast and Insanity Max 30 prior to surgery and the thought of not being able to workout for 4 weeks made me crazy!!!!breast augmentation, breast implants sizes, how much are breast implants, breast implants, breast lift, breast implant, breast augmentation before and after photos, breast augmentation recovery, cost of breast augmentation, boob job, before and after breast augmentation, weight  C-razy!  Since that time frame got extended-obviously-I relied on good nutrition and no sugar or alcohol.  Having PCOS, those two specific things make me gain so quick and the bloat, oh the bloat… Christmas did get me in over my head with all of that, hence the Clean Eating Group I started January 4th!  I kept my weight down on the scale for a while but it all eventually caught up.  I am the heaviest I’ve been in a while.  On January 12th, I was 149.8lbs!! I was just 140 mid December.  Hmm, too much indulging and no workouts got the best of me!

Having a huge DVD library I started with Brazil Butt Lift (the same one I used when I was pregnant with Jude) and PiYo.  I also did Lower Fix from the 21 Day Fix.  Having these to fall back on was so nice.  Now 8 weeks post-surgery, I branched out to some P90X shoulders and arms.  I miss my workouts so bad!!!  What happened the day after I did my first upper body workout with only 5 and 8 lbers?  Oh just some swelling and soreness in my poor, right, previously infected breast.  What???  Calling the doc again, sending in pictures and the next morning waking up to a puddle of fluid on my sheets and leakage for most of the day.  I know you’re thinking if this horror will ever end.  Trust me, I am too.  Saw the doctor on January 11th and so far we are good and it was just a fluke.  Praise Jesus!!  He said the workout had nothing to do with the fluid so that gave me peace of mind to get my butt back to my consistent daily workouts.

When I start adding more impact, you better believe I will be doubling up on the sports bra.  I’m excited to share the fun brands my hubby found for me!!  Some fitness fashion to come, eeeek!

I still wear the bra they gave me at surgery.  They told me 2 weeks straight with this support strap post-surgery but only 12 hours a day after that with only the bra, no strap.  Most women wear it at night but I liked during the day.  They get sore still if I don’t wear it for AT LEAST 12 hrs a day.  Sometimes I still wear it 24/7, it just feels better.  breast augmentation, breast implants sizes, how much are breast implants, breast implants, breast lift, breast implant, breast augmentation before and after photos, breast augmentation recovery, cost of breast augmentation, boob job, before and after breast augmentation, medical bra

So here I sit, 8 weeks post “original” surgery, 5 weeks post second surgery.  I started Hammer and Chisel today to test it because I’ve been dying to start this program.  Iso Balance was so FUN!  Oh that endorphin high after, is the best drug on the market.  Here is a clip of how I had to modify two moves with no weights, but the rest I did 5 and 7.5 lbs. I plan to continue trying the entire program as my comfort level allows.

Other Issues with the Breast Augmentation

Wait, there’s more!  Right after I filmed this and was so excited to start sweating again, my husband checked my incision and there was some black!!  RED FLAG!!!  Goodness, we head back to the doctor tomorrow to have another hiccup fixed.

Video on my thoughts about this entire ordeal and the outcome coming soon!

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…but a woman of strength, has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong. <3

  • The Scale and How Inflammation Affects It!

    Inflammation vs. Scale

The scale and inflammation are a tough combo.  It’s week two of our current challenge group and I posted this here as well as in the group to encourage. We want results so fast and our bodies don’t work that way!!! I also wanted to give you a sneak peek of what it looks like to be in one of our groups. We share confessions, struggles, successes, recipes and everything in between. Here goes:

    {HELP! WHY ISN’T THE SCALE MOVING?!}

I feel like this post was important for us today.
The most likely reason your number on the scale crept up is inflammation. When you work out, it causes little tears in your muscle fibers. This is called microtrauma and it’s why you feel sore after a workout. On the upside, your body heals these little tears, making the fibers tougher than they originally were. That’s how you become stronger and more fit. It’s part of a process called adaptation. It’s a GOOD thing!

scale, inflammation, weight, healthy tips, shakeology, 21 day fix, stacy rody, gluten-free mom
To make these repairs, your body uses its standard healing process, including the inflammation phase. When you incur injury, including microtrauma, your body releases various substances generally known as inflammatory mediators that swarm the area and perform triage, bringing in healing white blood cells and opening up blood vessels to flush out debris and toxins. There’s so much going on that the area swells up, or inflames.
The fluid required for inflammatory response obviously weighs something ***and that might show up on the scale.*** When inflammation is allowed to occur in a healthy way, it’s temporary.
There are a couple situations in which you might actually be putting on fat. The first one would be that you’re not following a proper diet. Yes, exercise burns calories, but it also increases release of ghrelin, a hormone that promotes hunger. So if you’re not paying attention, you’ll probably eat more.
Even if you are eating at a deficit, poor food choices can cause all kinds of issues, usually centered on hormonal imbalances that cause your body to hold onto fat. This is why we love adding Shakeology into the mix, it really helps with cravings and keeps one meal a day in perfect balance.  Also, think about the containers from the 21 Day Fix.  They are super easy to use and the nutrition guide really does balance your daily diet.  So, do NOT be afraid to open that nutrition guide that came with your package. It is KEY!!!!!!

Not anymore thanks to the nutrition and programs I’ve found. Now I’m right where I need to be.

I had to trust the process and invest for the long haul and boy it’s paid off. Sanity is a good thing 😉

What are you going to think when you look back on 2016 photos? Will you know you are doing everything you can to treat your body right or will it be another year on be books that you stayed the same? • A Healthy Meal for the Whole Family!

A Healthy Meal that Really is Healthy!

Having a healthy meal, that is a “go-to”, that the whole family loves, is hard to come by.  Healthy meal plans are a labor of love.  This journey is never ending and that means being on the lookout or experimenting should always be in the cards, to find a new healthy meal.  The BEST meal we’ve been having lately.

Here’s my husband talking about his favorite dish that he came up with!!

    [youtube id=”L3QjuFwKAvs”]

     Healthy Meal Recipe:
    • 2 Tablespoons of Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil. (This is the best coconut oil we have found.)
    • Melt coconut oil down, turn heat to medium or medium low.  (Otherwise you will be doused by hot coconut oil when you add the next items!)
    • Add 8 cups of kale, mix and make sure the coconut oil is evenly mixed up, stir every 30 seconds or so for about 3 minutes.
    • Add some Himalayan Salt, amount is up to you!
    • Add 1-2 teaspoons of Sriracha or other flavor you want to add.
    • At this point vegetables should be braised down and really soft.
    • Add 4-6 organic eggs or 3 eggs and egg whites.  Matt adds 1.25 cups of egg whites for more protein and less fat.  (The jury is out if it is really that bad to eat whole eggs.  Very debatable.)
    • Turn up heat a bit, mix and brown as much as desired.

The oil makes the kale leaves crunchy? ‪#‎yum‬

healthy meal planning, healthy recipe, healthy eating plan, healthy meal plan, clean eating, healthy meal plans, healthy meal, healthy meal ideas, kale, spinach, egg, sriracha, himalayan salt, braise, healthy meal

We buy Safeway’s organic pre-washed and cut kale. It has stems in it still but they get soft in the cooking process.  We eat this healthy meal once a day and it kind of depends on the day if it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Did you know kale has more calcium than milk and more iron than beef? ‪#‎craziness‬

(Yes, the kids love it too) ‪#‎eatyourgreens‬  This is one healthy meal you do not want to pass up!

  • Makeup Ideas: Crying….how to hide it?!!

    Cute Makeup Ideas

When you cry your eyes out the night before your 5 year old goes to Kindergarten, the eyes get a bit puffy? and it’s time for cute makeup ideas!  To combat that puffiness, matte medium -dark eye shadow helps a ton. I like dark brown for blue eyes and dark grey for brown eyes.

Today was Nars Coconut Grove eye shadow with Laura Mercier BlackTight Line for liner. Anything with shimmer would have made my puffiness shine like the sun.

After drop off, I went immediately to Target to buy something I didn’t need. I also made my bed because somehow that makes me feel better heehee.  For more makeup ideas go check this post I wrote awhile back about primer and foundation!

  • Gluten-Free Lunch Ideas! 21 Day Fix Style!

    Gluten-Free Lunch Ideas!

Holla back ya’ll, you better believe I have delicious gluten-free lunch ideas ready to go!  I always try to balance out my salads with a few different ingredients.  I love adding fruit.  Lunch is served. 2 ?‘s 1/2 ? and 1 ? This is chopped romaine, chopped celery, grapes and hemp seeds. Not excited about the celery but I’ll deal with it!.

Put the other half ? in my superfood shake (Shakeology), that counted for a (protein). When you don’t have any meat prepped, this is what you get. Couldn’t do the 21 Day Fix without my shakes!

  • Healthy Snack and Three Tips to Help Your Nutrition!

    My Favorite Healthy Snack!

My healthy snack today, I’m splurging on a tall Americano with one inch of steamed eggnog! This is a huge improvement from the FULL ON eggnog latte I used to order ?

    ‪#‎bloatedmuch‬ ??  Starbucks ‪#‎selfie‬ photo bombed ??

I’ve been thinking about what simple clean eating means to me. Especially when I see all these traditional Holiday foods that are packed with way more butter, breaded-ness, cream, milk, sugar than they truly need. I know it’s fun to splurge but for everyday dinners and meals, we can cut out the extras to preserve our waistline.

Here’s what I have done to think outside the box:

? I don’t do butter on my gluten-free toast, pancakes, gluten-free french toast, just either some peanut butter and jam or just straight jam. We don’t do milk or mayo. Veganaise and almond milk replace them.

? When eating a healthy snack like veggies…..no more dips for my veggies or prepackaged dressings or spreads unless the ingredient list is short and clean!

?I pick and choose my carbs very carefully! No more sticky rice, breaded stuff, carbs late at night. Now it’s about grabbing a healthy snack like sweet potatoes and brown rice or quinoa.

? I do salads instead of sandwiches and tacos. Never underestimate the power of greens!!

I seriously used to want every meal to be like a celebration. It had to have massive condiments and flavor, being exactly what I was craving. Luckily I got free from most of mine and realized that I can adjust my taste buds over time. Now for major Christmas FUN!! Only a few more days!???‪#‎salads‬#glutenfree ‪#‎cutouttheextras‬

Remember that a healthy snack is relative to where you have been.  I have continually gotten better.  I used to have an eggnog latte with a bunch of whip cream on top.  Then this healthy snack became an eggnog latte with no whip cream.  Then this healthy snack became an eggnog latte with less eggnog!  Then, the healthy snack became an Americano with a fair share of eggnog added to it!  This year it finally became the Americano with one inch of steam eggnog on top.  It has a fraction of the calories it once had, and way less fat.  It is called an evolution and change of my body and mind.  I can drink this healthy snack, a steamed eggnog Americano with no guilt!!  That is the power of changing your health and nutrition from the inside out!  Now tell me how you have evolved with your healthy snack.

  • Hammer and Chisel before the New Year!

    Hammer and Chisel Starting Now!

Friday workout d-to-the-DONE! Had my little man right beside me! I’m officially starting Hammer and Chisel Monday ??
Was just talking to a friend about how I used to sabotage all my hard work just for three weeks of Christmas “fun.” You know where that “fun” would leave me? ??Bummed out, my clothes all tight, & self-esteem lowered because I had let myself down.

Matt and I are keeping a tight reign this year. He’s actually doing better than me so far! I vow to make this Christmas season more about the events and people than all the food. ?  Shakeology is daily….maybe even twice!  Definitely not joking around!  I vow to start 2016 strong! I vow to stay next to all my clients and cheer them on. ??? We have so much more self-control and determination than we give ourselves credit. ?

The sports bra and capris are both Unity, purchased at Nordstrom Rack….picked out by my husband!  🙂

Now to go wash my spray tan craziness off in the shower?  Let me know if you want to know more about Hammer and Chisel!

  • Weight Loss Journey after Baby #2!

This is my weight loss journey.

Oh my goodness, weight loss is no joke!  It is so much easier to gain it than make it go away!  How many can relate with that?!  It took a lot of hard work and patience, as well as consistency to for weight loss to happen.  In my case, with the help of Chalene Johnson and Turbofire, as well as getting my nutrition on point grounded with Shakeology, I was motivated to have a transformation like never before!!  Come with me and watch how my life was changed and how you can too!!!

How I Reached My Weight Loss Goal!!

This is me in a nut shell!!  I love Turbofire, it has changed my life.  I am a stay at home mom, with two beautiful children.  My kids and husband are my life!  I knew I wanted to get in the best shape of my life and finally found a way to do it.  This was me prior to Turbofire, and actually before being pregnant with kids.  Being married and lazy, I started getting chunky.  I was eating way too much and definitely not eating the right foods.  I needed some weight loss bad!!

I purchased Turbofire and my life will never be the same, the weight loss began.  I not only lost weight, I transformed into what I had always wanted.  I had gone to the gym most my life.  I had done weights, circuit training, some crossfit……. You name it I had tried it.  But working out from home, consistently, with a trainer/coach like Chalene Johnson, changed the game.

I also changed my eating.  I started using Shakeology.  This gave me both energy and a better frame of mind.  I literally could feel the difference as my body got used to it the first few weeks.  Now it is a staple and my entire family has it everyday.  I also found out I was allergic to gluten.  I removed it from my diet and has really changed my life.  The bloat is gone and feel so much better.

I want to encourage women and men, that no matter where you are in your life, you can always make a change, you can have a transformation!!!  I thought I was doing great before kids.  I thought I was in great shape!  I was so wrong and I feel so much better now!  I lost 41lbs in the eight months….that’s a lot of weight loss.  I since have lost about 3 or 4 more.  My body likes to be around 137 or 138, being 5’7″!  Even though I feel I need more weight loss, my body really doesn’t like going below that.  It has been an incredible journey.

I finally have my Lulu gear fitting the way I want!  That is the benefit of working hard to reach your goals.  Since my transformation I still workout all the time and am continually transforming into a better “me”!!  What is holding you back from becoming a better “you”?!!  I want to help.  The journey is not easy, but it is doable and can be done.

I love helping others and this has been life changing.  You may need a life change and I would love to see you transform into a more healthy and fit you!!  Feel free to contact me….I will help you along the road as you create your own transformation!!
