  • Transformation! Jennifer gets fit!

    transformation tuesday

Jennifer and I have been connected for over a year now and her transformation is so inspiring. She recently shared this picture in our group and I asked her if she would be willing to share her story. With tears in my eyes as I read this, I wish Jennifer and I lived closer so I could give her a big hug! She checked in the group almost daily and was dedicated beyond most. She is an example of what a healthy, strong woman is and does. Here is her story:

When you are ok with you who are on the inside, everything on the outside falls into place. It took me 35 years to figure this out, and this lesson has changed my life.

I spent a lot of time trying to be what I thought everyone else wanted, pushing aside how I felt and what I wanted for my own life. I always felt like I was never quite good enough…not even for myself.

You can only neglect yourself for so long before you start to forget who you are. You not only lose your confidence, but you also start to lose your health.

A few years ago, my world came crashing down. My dad died. I was in a car accident, and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. What was supposed to be routine surgery put me out of work for three months. Looking back, this should have been a wakeup call to slow down, but I had responsibilities and people I couldn’t let down. I started working harder than ever, and my health got worse.

At 220+ pounds, I was feeling pretty miserable, not just physically. I avoided most social situations, and I was often afraid to speak up. I rarely did anything fun. Looking back, I see I was hiding from my own life.

The only time I felt well was when I was moving. I started doing tae-bo and lost 30 pounds. I wasn’t consistent and didn’t know anything about nutrition. I gained ten back. This woke something up inside of me. It made me angry. I was determined not to go back to the way I was, and by December 2012 I was serious.

In 2013, I started to educate myself on what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. I read every article I could get my hands on. I learned about myfitnesspal, and I started logging all my foods, something I still do today.

I also discovered Beachbody. I wanted to challenge myself, and Insanity was the hardest program out there. I paused the videos constantly, but I finished the program. Getting that t-shirt was the best feeling ever.  They are the perfect workouts for women!!

I’ve been hooked on Beachbody ever since. Besides Insanity, I’ve completed Les Mills Combat, Les Mills Pump, a Shakeology challenge, and P90X3. I’m one week away from finishing T25, and I have 2.5 weeks left of Body Beast. I also run several days a week and recently did my first 10K.

My health is now the one area where I put myself first. Workouts are non-negotiable. 6 days a week. My diet is pretty strict as well. All whole foods all the time, very little processed. I put a lot of planning into my meals, packing work lunches the night before. I love experimenting with recipes from sites like skinnytaste.com, and it turns out I’m a pretty good cook!

I’m down to 138 pounds now, and I’ve kept it off for a few years. I’m still working on building muscle and toning up. It’s hard to see changes now, but I feel stronger every day. The best part is not looking better but feeling healthy and strong.

Bettering my health has made me feel capable like no other accomplishment ever has. Because I feel capable I am more outgoing. Life now has so many possibilities. And the last few years have brought so many wonderful experiences. Taking responsibility for my health has helped me learn I have to do the same with the rest of my life too. I’m responsible for making sure my life is full and happy, and along the way my example is helping others too.

Can we please give her a shout out and feel free to share this if you can relate.

Well done my friend, well done!

  • CIZING it UP!! Day 1 Preview and CIZE Review!

    CIZE Review

Holy COW! Day 1 of CIZE and I am in love. It is not my normal routine, it is not the workout I really wanted to do today.  I totally wanted to do my 21 Day Fix Extreme or Body Beast because those have been my fave lately but I am SO glad I stuck to my plan. It threw me for a loop, because I actually loved it so very much!  Full review and updates group info at the end of the video so check it out. 😉

    Pushing Through with Accountability

I love working out and finding something that is fun, yet still gets you in shape and getting your sweat on is so important.  The other part, I preach about a lot is accountability.  Doing anything with others, spurs me on!  I push harder, go faster, do one more rep and know that I will be letting someone else down if I don’t push through.  It is hard, but it is what gets me to reach my goals and become the person I envision myself becoming.

And yes I pushed play by 5:18 this morning so thanks for holding me accountable. #‎morninghustle #‎momlife

  • Passive Income Idea …..what?!!!!

    Passive Income Idea

I always want to be honest and open, so when I first thought about this type of business I wanted to run the other way. I did not want anything to do with it! I actually made my hubby pinky swear he would never pressure me to sell anything. I just wanted to get the discount and to get fit and healthy.

I am the type of girl who likes my comfort zones and didn’t really “need” to work. I had just had my second baby and thought I was “too busy” to take on anything else. Working one day a week as an Esthetician seemed to be perfect. Or so I thought..

But then I got into the best shape of my life, I fell in LOVE with the products and workouts and the community as a whole. I saw the potential. The potential to learn and grow personally. I had the moment of truth when I was faced with staying the same and not changing or taking a risk and developing an inner strength I knew I needed to be who God created me to be.

    Today, I decided to look back at June 2013 – $326, June 2014 – $1497 and June 2015 – $3477.

Not a huge amount….but way more than I ever thought possible!!  This had become a passive income idea!

    Finding Your WHY

I also started working this business on the side so I could still afford the nicer things that I enjoyed, while working minimal hours and being home with the kids. With not having to drive to work or leave the house. Working as a makeup artist at Nordstrom for almost a decade really spoiled me in the fact that I like to buy quality over quantity. I also wanted to help support my husband and come up passive income ideas. Possibly pay for the kids private school.

My reward is not the money, in fact, if I didn’t make a single penny more I’d still do this because it’s making me a better mom, wife, and woman. I’m more confident in areas I never thought possible (mainly computers and opening myself up. I’m a total introvert 😉 The money is just a bonus!

    The Blessing

The blessing is now, my husband’s business is still in the waiting process in a couple areas. We are both self employed so the income that our coaching business brings in now is helping us a lot! We now work as a team and it’s been really fun. This month we were able to pay our utility bill, mortgage, our Costco bill, health insurance and pay for all of our Shakeology ( our favorite meal of the day as you know-lol)

Daily we get to inspire others to reach their full potential and teach them to pay it forward with coaching others during their journey towards their goals physically, mentally, and financially.

The majority of our income is what our team does to change the lives of others. So we mentor and teach our coaches on how to share their story, their life and their journey and invite others along the way. Just changing lives by sharing their story, just like I am doing now. We all have a story. You don’t have to be in perfect shape or a fitness professional. We are all on a journey and being part of a community of people who are paying it forward and sharing what they’ve learned is the best thing ever. We walk together and support each other like a big family.

If you are a coach and you are struggling, know that it does get better, you just have to find your space and keep at it.

If you are not a coach and you’re interested in learning how to do what I am risk-free, message me or comment below! Here is a form you can complete to make it easier. https://stacyrody.wufoo.com/forms/join-my-mentorship-opportunity/

****Disclaimer — In no way does this reflect a “standard” or “actual” amount of money you will make.  Each person will build their business different.  Some will grow fast, some slow.  Beachbody guarantees no promises of income and as an independent representative, I do the same.  It is all up to you and how hard you work.  This is a business, your own business and it takes work.  As in anything worth having, it takes work.  But, start up costs, things associated with most businesses….this one really is a lot more reasonable to get started.  So, I show numbers for you to get an idea what has happened to “ME” by putting my focus on something I love and know others can benefit from.  It is through transformations, the customers and a few of those people seeing this vision, that this is now my life!  Thank you everyone that are part of my journey and thank you for allowing me to be part of yours!  This is only one passive income idea.

  • Dig Deep!! At Home Workouts for Women

Dig Deep In these Workouts for women

I finally founds some at home workouts for women.  When I chose to dig deep and promise myself to get in shape and stay there, it was not easy. This guy was 3 months old when I started following my program calendar. I knew he was my last baby, so that did help with my drive and motivation to do my best. And I was just so relieved to actually have a program calendar that was proven to work and I could do all from home. Something to just tell me what to do and what to eat.

The thing about getting into the best shape I have ever been in didn’t come in the form of extreme measures. I’m more of a consistent, steady-eddie type girl. I knew never eating a gummy bear or tortilla chip again was not in the cards for me. It needed to be fun and challenging but something that would let me live a little, too.

    Ups and Downs

I’ve had many ups and downs over the last three years because it’s not easy. It’s not easy to stay the course when you may not feel like it. I wouldn’t say passing out behind the wheel of my car, with my daughter in, it last year and totaling it, worked well in my plan. Or taking a rough fall down the wood stairs a few months ago that left me unable to workout for a couple weeks.

When things like that happen to us, it’s easy to let life get in the way of our health. To quit what we started. But those habits you’ve made over time aren’t as easy to give up on if you have a strong “why” and determination. Healthy habits are the safeguards that protect us. They keep us strong. When I think about what could have been after my two accidents if I wasn’t strong going into them? I can’t even imagine how much worse it would have been for my recovery process!!!

I’m so glad I get to share and encourage all you other women to be your best! Get those daily habits set in place and if you need help, I’m here with plenty of work out plans for women!!!
