  • Fit Couples here we come! We are a Work in Progress!

    Fit Couples Here We Come!

When on vacation, I see so many fit couples.  When we were younger, we were in a different place in our health and fitness.  We ate what we wanted, when we wanted, and didn’t think anything of it.  We didn’t think of consequences.  When you get into your early thirties, that doesnt’ work anymore!

Today as we leave for the farmers market with the kids (and we are weirdly excited to buy kale).  I think back on the health journey we’ve been on the last three years. It started with the fear of having a second child… yeah, that’s kinda scary haha. But he realized that he would need to have more energy to help me and that means focusing on his health. I realized we were done having kids and I wanted to push myself beyond what I ever had before. To see what my strong mom body was capable of.

It was time to become one of these fit couples we had seen on the beach.  Not really to look better, but to feel better and be healthy.  I won’t lie though, it is really nice to feel better in your own skin, knowing that the decisions you have made are helping your body.  It’s also really nice to fit in your clothes comfortably.  We made a decision to have our super food smoothie daily, add fitness to our daily routine and (not just talk about doing it). We looked at the future progress it would bring not just the instant results. We made a decision and looked at the big picture. Oh and we cut out all fast food, soda, double batches of chocolate chip cookies and family size Papa Murphy’s pizza because those were our weakness. Sometimes you just have to say goodbye to things, right?  Have to keep the goal and that vision of those fit couples in your mind.

I have to say I would have slacked more if it wasn’t for him and I bet he’d admit the same thing. We bounce ideas and frustrations off each other but we never quit. Quitting is not an option for us. We had quit too many times before and lost all the progress that was made. Consistency is key in those lifestyle changes.  I love this man! Almost ten years of ups and downs but we manage to keep communication open and promise each other to keep striving to be our best.

So here we go, sharing our journey and inviting others to join. We love our team and clients like our second family. Our #fitfam. They keep us accountable and we get to grow and share together. Embracing our health today and thanking God for those hard times because those are the growth periods that help you push past.  We are working on helping many more become fit couples, being comfortable in their own skin.

  • Transformation Tuesday from Quebec!

    TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY!

Genevieve blows me away with this transformation Tuesday! She is a full time working mom and takes pride in her health every day. Here is a peek into her story and life ——->>>>>

“I did not lose much, less than 10 pounds. But the daily balance is my best tool to measure my progress. I prefer to look at how my clothes fit, take my measurements and some pictures. I’ve worked out for about 20 years, many years of running and gyms. I will be 40 soon. Honestly, I have never felt so well and healthy since I discovered Shakeology. The nutrients keep me going on the days I don’t have time to eat breakfast or lunch. The battle is a daily one. It’s not easy but I have to say I look and feel better than I ever have.”

Her French text says “I am too tired, I have a busy week but I can do it!! ”

Excuses don’t lead us to our final destination. Avoiding them is what takes you places. If you mess up, know there will be another opportunity to make a better choice. Get back on the right path and don’t worry about being perfect. Even if it takes longer than you thought, keep running to your destination.

I feel the exact same way as her! The daily habits are the ones we master, not getting on the scale. I love to brag on my fellow team mates because they work so hard not only on themselves but with all of their clients.

Well done my friend and thank you for letting me share part of your journey. I wish we lived closer!!! Maybe a trip to Quebec is in order someday soon XO  Another successful transformation Tuesday thanks Genevieve…you inspire me!

  • Transformation Tuesday! Jessica is killing it!

    Transformation Tuesday!

Jessica is this weeks transformation Tuesday success.  I met this strong woman back in February and it never ceases to amaze me what can happy when someone takes action and gets their health in order!

Here’s a bit of her story:

“In high school I was so skinny people thought I was anorexic. I wasn’t and my eating habits were horrible. I only ate junk food but never gained weight. I graduated and joined the army and put on about 15lbs (I needed it). Then came home and and got married at 18, we got pregnant with our first child soon after and by the end of my pregnancy I was over 200. After having him we had our 2nd, 14 months later.

I was exhausted, depressed because of finances and hated myself for abusing my body and looking the way I did. I had no confidence. It effected my sexual life with my husband we drifted apart and struggled in our marriage a lot. I was a yo-yo dieter. But due to being an emotional eater, I just slept and ate all day. I struggled to stay awake to take care of my children and had no desire to live. I struggled with depression for years. I found Insanity on an infomercial and I had seen it soo many times but couldn’t afford it. Then one day I just ordered it.

I was prego with my third and did very well with eating, but after I had her I looked in the mirror and knew I had to change. I started the workouts and a girl on my page saw I was doing it and invited me to her challenge group. That’s when things really started to come together. I wasn’t a social person at all so being in a group with others that I could talk to, helped me so much. I had an accountability partner and we really helped each other. Then I became a coach helping others along with myself. It gave me a purpose. I made goals and stuck to the plan. Ten years ago I would’ve never thought I could have my body back to where it is. Its not where it used to be but I’m stronger, more confident, no longer depressed, and HAPPY! My husband and I have grown so much since my attitude about myself has changed and I am so blessed to be part of an amazing community!”

This just goes to show that you can do anything and finding other people to do it with you is so important!! Another Transformation Tuesday success! ?
